Leslie Pimentel Byatt Appointed Clinical Research Manager, NMCCA
Leslie Byatt CPhT, CCRC moved back to Albuquerque, NM after 24 years in Jacksonville Florida. Leslie studied exercise science at the University of New Mexico and after 3 years working in cardiac rehabilitation and workplace wellness found her passion in the clinical research industry in Jacksonville.
A desire to be on the cutting edge of medicine and a compassion for people made clinical research a natural fit! As a clinical research coordinator she has worked on over 100 outpatient Phase 2-4 trials. She has been certified through Association of Clinical Research Professionals as a clinical research coordinator for over 10 years and currently serves as the chair of the ACRP Global CCRC exam committee. Leslie has used her experience to mentor other research professionals and as Global Site Liaison worked in Panama City, Panama to effectively guide local research sites through FDA inspections. Since 2015 she has worked with the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance. Having her family touched by cancer, she feels very fortunate to be able to use her experience to facilitate oncology clinical trials throughout the state of New Mexico.
In her free time Leslie loves hiking with her husband Tony and dog Luna.
