New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance Announces Board Changes and Welcomes New Participants

At their recent annual meeting, the Board of Directors of New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance voted in the following people as new Board members:
- Secretary: Sheri Milone, CEO Lovelace Women’s Hospital
- Treasurer: Lauren Cates, Vice President, Presbyterian Hospital;
- Community Director: Geraldine Esquivel, Regional Vice President, American Cancer Society
The Board approved the following physicians who are directly involved with the treatment of cancer patients as new NMCCA participants.
- Lovie Bey, MD, Hematology-Oncology Associates, Albuquerque
- Edward Libby, MD, UNM Cancer Research & Treatment Center, Albuquerque
- Karen Leigh Bossolt LoRusso, MD, New Mexico Cancer Care Associates, Santa Fe
Additionally, the Board approved Lovelace Clinic Foundation as an Affiliate Participant. Affiliate Participants are groups involved with cancer treatment, research, support and education. Affiliates work with NMCCA’s physician participants to increase knowledge of the role research may play in cancer treatments.
NMCCA looks forward to working with these new directors and participants and to the expertise that they bring to the organization.
